New York State Dignity For All Students Act
Mary Grenz Jalloh, Executive Director for the New York State Center for School Safety, presents an overview of New York State Education Law, Article 2; the New York State Dignity For All Students Act, also known as 'DASA' or 'The Dignity Act'. The Dignity Act goes into effect on July 1, 2012 and applies to all public, BOCES, and charter schools.
The legislative act is designed to provide students in all New York State public schools an educational environment free from discrimination and harassment.
