New York State Standards and Truths of Equality

The purpose of this blog is to expose the truths of NYSED, NYS OCFS, Niagara County Department of Social Services, City of North Tonawanda School District, and numerous other agencies in order to facilitate change where needed to protect the rights of youth in education and the rights of parents to the care, education and upbringing of their children. In 2010 this blog was expanded to present relevant information from state and national news.

"Someday, maybe, there will exist a well-informed, well considered and yet fervent public conviction that the most deadly of all possible sins is the mutilation of a child's spirit."~ Erik Erikson

About Me

My photo
Rhonda J Mangus
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in 1999 through Buffalo State College, where I majored in Philosophy and my Associate in Arts in 1996 through Niagara County Community College, graduating with Honors and High Distinction in the field of Human Services. I became interested in Human & Civil Rights when my youngest son identified as Gay in 2005 and I was falsely reported for educational neglect by school officials of the City of North Tonawanda School District (NTHS Principal Jim Fisher and Child Associate Rosemary Fox) and indicated by Niagara County Department of Social Services; even though each failed to prove my son truant or unlawfully detained from school. The matter was taken before NYS Court of Appeals, where Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman refused to hear the Appeal. During the Appeal process, I was advised pro bono by Chicago Lawyer & Gay Rights Advocate Jay Paul Deratany and, supportive counsel, Nathan Polum. Although I have stopped posting to this blog, it remains public so others may learn & benefit from the truths about the 'system of justice' in New York State.

  • Sign the Petition to Withdraw President Obama's Nomination of Jonathan Lippman to the State Justice Institute (Petition expired 12/14/2012). Lippman's nomination was confirmed January 2013 despite legitimate calls for withdrawal of his nomination to the SJI.
